If the regional office denies a claim, the veteran may appeal the claim to Board of Veterans Appeals. If the Board denies the claim, the final step is to appeal that decision to the U. S. Court Appeals for Veterans Claims. Legal representation customarily begins at the point of this final appeal. Upon request from a veteran client, I will review any Board of Veteran's Appeals decision that denies the veteran's claim for benefits to determine whether the case would be appropriate for representation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, D.C.
